The Meditation Walk at St John's

St John's church boasts beautiful grounds, lovingly tended by our gardening club, made up of green fingered members of our congregation who meet once a month on a Saturday morning. A number of members of the club also spend considerable time during week days mowing lawns, weeding and generally maintaining the grounds. Crystal Dunn is the leader of this faithful band of workers.

In order to appreciate the grounds to the full a meditation walk has been developed around the grounds, starting and ending at the front gate. Depending on the amount of time you have, and how long you linger in each spot, the walk can take anything from 15 minutes to an hour or more. There are places to sit and reflect along the way.

Each of the 16 plaques has a bible verse (shown in burgundy below) and a prayer suggestion (shown in blue below).

The meditation walk has been dedicated in memory of CLIFFORD JAMES HOLLIDAY 5/12/1933–26/4/1995 and presented to St John's church by the Holliday family.
