Planning for next year, and we finally are able to announce that Andrew Bowles will be leaving us to go to St John's Diamond Creek as the Assistant Minister.  Andrew's last day with us will be on Sunday 13th January, 2013, and on that day we will celebrate the baptism of his and Camille's little boy, Ethan.  Hopefully Andrew has had enough practice after a dozen baptisms here, and won't drop Ethan or make him cry!!

We will be joined in January 2013 by a new Assistant Priest, Rev René Pfitzner, and his wife Louisa and two boys, Tobias (5) and Bruce (2).   We are pleased that René is able to come to us and enable the ministry here to continue without interruption.

Other changes afoot mean that Rev Ros Rudd will be moving on to focus on her work as Chaplain at Repat/Austin hospitals, and we hope to continue to have a close relationship here.

We are in the process of reassessing our aims and goals for our church, and a series of congregational meetings is proving very helpful.

Thank you to all who have given their feedback, and helped to modify our survey and the shape of our life together.
One of the key challenges facing us is to act with unity, so that we do not behave like three separate churches, but rather as one church with three worship centres.

We are also in the process of change with our staffing, as Andrew moves on to a new placement and we welcome a new Assistant minister. (Announced next week!)

So many "life-giving"  things are happening in our congregation: I am especially encouraged by the spirit of service and outreach that is expressed in 'mainly music', baptism classes, Op shop service, and Kids Hope, which will start in 2013 under Judy's direction.
Let us give thanks for all the Spirit of God is doing in us day by day.
